Re: New Games Schedule
yea they all seem to have violence, I prefer the 'spending seven hours trying to work out which combination of wine bottles to pull out of a wine rack' approach to adventure gaming lol (true story line from broken sword).

Re: New Games Schedule
i am now running an elite , no difference in picture quality at all but it does have a 120gb hard drive which when the november update comes you will be able to play all your games straight from the hard drive which should be cool , £249 from play.com with free delivery or £259 from Argos etc

Jizzy quick note........bashing doors.........erm how can I say this, you'll get banned LOL I know it's a figure of speech but you'll find out racing with these guys and indeed any races on here is simulation stuff, damage turned up to the max to diswade anything other than an accidental rub or you end up with your radiator lying on the track

Re: New Games Schedule
many an evening has a mic been turned off and then the console following a little tap mid race , an apology usually fixes it though ( thats if u can get in quick enough before they turn the console off )

Re: New Games Schedule
Eh?
Whats all this console turning off business?????
Nowt worse than a sore loser m8, imo people always get whats coming to them, if they punt you off unfairly then they will get theirs at some point.
But my philosophy is if you cant beat them on the track, then you CANT beat them, play buy the rules its much more satisfying
Just my opinion is all.

Re: New Games Schedule
its a funny old game forza is , if you have all the damage turned on and some scrote rams you to get past because they cant outbrake you etc , its more like F1 than touring cars if that makes any sense , the skill is in the overtaking and braking

Re: New Games Schedule
Yeah it does,
You can tell ive never played it online before. LOL i enjoy the realism side of things more than anything.
Im sure there are lots of "nuances" that are specific to online console gaming or more specifically racing gaming that im not aware of.
My multiplayer exp has always been in rts games of FPS.
I suppose ill just figure it out as we go

Re: New Games Schedule
The skill is in beating the guy fairly an squarly, taps and bumps happen but as long as you shout up on the mike a "sorry mate" then theres no problem. You get online racers who can only win by cheating, running into the back of you at braking zones, leaning on you up the inside on corners and even ramming you off the track on the straights as you overtake them! when you get a room of "clean" racers the game, whatever it is, is just 100% more enjoyable. One of the reasons for this forum is for people with this attidude to get together and race. You'll see how 1 bad racer in a field of 16 can destroy the enjoyment of a race when you go online LOL
BAD RACERS!
BAD RACERS!

Re: New Games Schedule
Oh kool my style is about 2/3rds clean 1/3 not.
According to them vids.
I like to mix it up, but not to an extent where you literally punt someone off or send em spinning, but i cant see owt wrong with a little door rubbing in the corners.

Door rubing in corners works ok in say GT5 or even ferrari challenge, defending your line and blocking is part of racing, In Forza 2 you can "swap paint" as it where when things get tight you just have to judge it so your not going to take the other guy off the track.......whe you play it you'll see what I mean. 2 cars on the edge of traction in forza 2 means on the edge of traction, it takes very little to knock a guy off the road
If you are being agresive to the point of taking people out the race to get past thats bad racing jizzy But again you'll experience this in the game. I've had countless races with howler and manse where no ones giving an inch in the first corner, we all know each others driving style and that they can keep the preasure on through the bend, the cars look like theyve been through a demonic carwash at the end of the turn but we'd pop out still 3 abreast LOL then of course it sometimes went horibley wronginside guy clips the high cerb and we all end up sitting in the kitty litter in a cloud of smoke.....at this point photos are taken and the shame starts
Oh and heres spa in the wet!

Re: New Games Schedule
just posted 4 pics up in the gallery of an old HDvg forza2 race , pic 2 was me , howler and hereward entering a corner ( notice the car on the grass on the left ) pic3 was him trying to get back on the track and pic 4 was the resulting chaos and yes i think at least 2 consoles got swithed off in under a minute of that happening lol yes that was my saab he smacked into and collected hereward and howler in the process

Re: New Games Schedule
Quick note I'm in the corado on the inside keeping out of the way, next is howler in the lancier then the late great mercy (dirty dirty driver) in the car in the center and poor manse over in the kitty litter in the saab
Same race same people, I'm again tucked up at the back, and here comes mercy on a corner cutting exercise!
Of course he has to come back onto the track....right into the group! and if you look at the first pic again that was the carnage that resulted!
